Audeze Intros New Tech With The Euclid, A Closed Back Planar Magnetic IEM

Audeze Euclid In-Ear Earphone. Planar Magnetic closed back IEM.

The Audeze Euclid In Ear

Audeze has been on the cutting edge of planar magnetic technologies since their first audiophile headphone years ago. From the LCD-2, the OC-based company has evolved into a large suite of offerings based around the robust diaphragm, known for snappy bass and high detail retrieval.

As Audeze moved from over ear designs to in ear options, the technology was initially implemented with an open back design in the LCDi3 and iSine lines. This week’s announcement of the Audeze Euclid brings a less conspicuous (and more traditional) look to planar magnetic options in a small form factor.

The new Audeze Euclid sports a 18mm planar magnetic driver in a fully sealed case. Connections come courtesy of the handy detachable MMCX cable variety, and the minimized aluminum housing will now fit into ears without the addition of ear-hooks from previous open back options.

Insides of the Audeze Euclid.

It is a pretty straightforward proposal, but one that has likely been long requested from any fans of planar flavored playback in portable audio. The original iSine line sounded amazing, but didn’t offer the outside noise isolation that might behoove train commuters or stay at home offices with close quarters to other members of family.

The Audeze Euclid comes with three different types of ear tips to customize both the fit and the style. In addition to Audeze’s private label silicone options, silicone tips from Spinfit and foam tips from Comply are included as well.
