SVS Reveals A New Wireless Prime Pro System
Just in time for the holidays a new wireless product has emerged from SVS. The company which started as a sub manufacturer has really branched out, both into the audiophile realm (with their growing selection of hifi speakers) and into the wireless space. Their newest entry is a combination of both, the Prime Wireless Pro Powered Speaker Pair, which kicks out 100 watts per speaker and loads of wireless streaming options.
This time around the new pros feature a bigger cabinet and woofer over the previous generation, to grab even lower regions of bass. The big addition on the software side is the addition of Airplay 2 and Google Chromecast built in, so you can just shoot over your music from your phone without the need to download an additional app. There is also a new HDMI (with ARC/eARC) input to go along with the massive amount of connectivity that was included with the previous two speaker package.
The front facing display can also show rich metadata for songs, which is pretty cool, and includes custom preset buttons for more control without an app. I really dig these two speaker, desktop-ready setups. Not only do you get more stereo separation than a one-piece smart speaker operation, but it also sets the stage for a cool remote turntable setup without too much fuss.
