PRO-JECT Announces New Debut Carbon Evolution Turntable
Pro-Ject turntables aren’t a splash-in-the-pan as the recent trend towards analog might imply. The company’s founder Hienz Lichtenegger started the entry-level brand in 1991, long before spinning platters become the trademark of hipster bookshelves across the US.
Now the brand is leading the charge into living rooms as a step up, or “first real table” for many people joining the party. This week Pro-Ject dropped the news that a new addition to the lineup is coming in the form of the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evolution. A “refinement” to the popular design aesthetics of the Debut Collection, the new table features a one-piece carbon fiber tonearm technology, electronic speed selection, suspension elements from the X1 model, and a factory mounted Sumiko Rainier phono cartridge.
