Andrew Jones And The New MoFi Sourcepoint V10

MoFi Sourcepoint V10

The MoFi Sourcepoint V10 is the latest creation from the mind of Andrew Jones, a speaker designer with a resume that includes a legendary Pioneer model, KEF, ELAC and even TAD. Andrew joins The Occasional Podcast this week to discuss some of the tech and specs of good bass output, along with some of the finer talking points of the new Sourcepoint V10 which includes a whopping five 10-inch drivers (two woofers and two passive radiators) in its employ.

Along with the new speaker, Mr. Jones gives a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to really design a good-sounding and good-selling speaker. There is also some talk of measurements, tuning by ear and even some acoustic wizardry that takes place while attempting to find that sweet spot for value. Something that is becoming even more viable with the new projected cost of ~$9k for the MoFi Sourcepoint V10.
