The Ear Gear Expo at AXPONA is always a nice retreat from the hustle/bustle of the high end 2 channel show. This year at AXPONA 2026 in Chicago Noble audio brought a huge list of options for in-ear listening along with a clever new device for high resolution wireless.
As long as I’ve known Noble audio, they always looked to make little (and some big) improvements to personal listening and especially mobile listening. Initially, they introduced a 3.5mm jack that partnered directly with a bluetooth receiver, so any regular earphone could go wireless. Now, they have brought higher wireless codex to mobile devices with the introduction of their Sceptre device.
It has long plagued the iPhone world to be stuck in a proprietary ecosystem, even as more standard wireless protocols advanced further in the proper direction for higher sound quality. Now with the introduction of more high resolution options like LDAC and aptX Adaptive, any portable owner with limited BT tech can have the latest. Just plug the Sceptre into the USB port and away you go. Retail is $69.99, not too shabby.
Alongside the new accessory, the regular line of wireless options were on display, ranging from the $320 Amadeus we reviewed here, to the $699.99 Prestige Encore. The company has really built its customer base up from wired earphones, and they still offer a ton of products in both the universal and custom fit varieties. Of particular note, the custom Prestige line allows for some really bespoke color and design options, along with the 2024 release of an over the ear headphone called the Apollo. Overall, it was a great showing from a company that has been around for a long time (especially in headphone years).
